Happy Thanksgiving from Israel!

Just checking in to wish you all a very happy Turkey Day!

I’m currently in Israel celebrating the holiday with my sister and uncle. Here’s a group shot from sunset in Tel Aviv last weekend:

And a few more random moments from our trip…

My sister and me en route to Carmel market in Tel Aviv:

My uncle at the Caesarea ruins:

My sister at Mount Bental in Golan Heights:

And all three of us at the Dead Sea!

We went for a swim float:

We spent yesterday touring the Old City in Jerusalem. Here we are outside the Temple Mount:

And the Wailing Wall:

Last night I returned for a brief stroll around the Wailing Wall and encountered a group of young men singing and dancing:

Our timing is fortuitous — we happen to be here during Hanukkah. Last night we spotted menorahs lit around the Old City.

And I stopped at the Mamilla Mall menorah lighting ceremony, right near our hotel:

To top it all off: the other night at dinner, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair sat behind us with his security detail. And a couple at another table got engaged. An exciting night.

Wishing you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving… and Hanukkah!

XO from Israel!

  1. Love it! Great to see you, Beth and Uncle David continuing your Thanksgiving tradition. Although it looks like the Turkey Trot was replaced by The Mud Float….

    • Thank you Lisa! I think we were happier with the Mud Float than the Turkey Trot :-) It was certainly better for our skin! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
