I’m headed to Iceland’s Golden Circle. Despite visiting a major waterfall and some geysers, I find this area underwhelming and sort of a tourist trap. The highlight is greenhouse restaurant that only serves tomato-based items. Continue reading
I went snorkeling in the sapphire waters of Iceland’s Silfra fissure — this is where two tectonic plates meet, and you can touch both the North American and Eurasian continents at the same time. Continue reading
There are a lot of waterfalls in Iceland, but these two are my favorite — Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss. They are located 25 minutes apart from each other, and you can walk behind one of them. Continue reading
There is a remote black sand beach in southern Iceland with a crashed airplane. Only trick is that there’s no signage, you just turn down an unmarked gravel road until you find it. And I pick up a hitchhiker for the first time ever! Continue reading
