I’ve got one last holiday-ish post for you — my family spent an afternoon walking around Chatham, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. We love exploring there: taking long walks around town, looking for seals by the harbor, and shopping on Main Street. I wrote a post in 2015 about all the summer activities we love in Chatham. It’s just as pretty in winter… but way colder. So we bundled up appropriately.
This family sells sea salt, maple syrup, and beach plums (in season) by the jar — on the honor system. I love stuff like this.
We love Mermaids on Main — and they sell everything for 50% off the week between Xmas and New Years:
By this point in the afternoon, the light was just beautiful — I had my camera out the whole walk back down Main Street.
I have no more commentary for the rest of this post. Enjoy the photos of this bucolic New England town!
We’ll be back soon, Chatham!
Erica, Truly enjoyed this post and the one on Plymouth. Brought back wonderful travel memories. Your photos are spectacular as always. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, Marie! So glad it brought back nice memories for you. New England in the winter is so pretty!
I just found your blog while looking up pictures of the Chobe River. An hour later, & I’m still looking at your stunning pictures & reading about your adventures. I was born & raised in CT & currently live in Naugatuck. I loved the pic of Wallingford around XMAS
Hi Elisha! Thank you so much for the kind words! So glad you appreciate the CT (and MA) photos! I love New England and am proud to be from there. Thanks again, and good luck on your own travels!
