Sunset at Pismo Beach was so epic that I had to split it into two posts — yesterday’s images were snapped on top of the pier, and today’s were taken below. Honestly, it might not have even occurred to me to shoot underneath the pier if I hadn’t spotted this on National Geographic’s Instagram feed literally the day before our trip here:

With that knowledge in mind, we walk down just before sunset to check it out.

This is a gratuitous sunset post and I have very little to add in the way of commentary! The light and shadows are über dramatic; it makes for great photos. Scroll and enjoy!

And a few final photos as we walk through downtown Pismo back to the car. The sky continues to impress as we drive towards San Luis Obispo so I keep snapping photos from the passenger seat.
