I’m delayed on writing posts. This is a good thing — I just worked a few back-to-back script gigs, and I’ve been on two camping road trips in the past month (I just returned from the southwest a few days ago). So in the next few weeks I’ll play catch-up on events and travel that happened over the summer. First up: my mom’s birthday party from early August.
We celebrated at my sister’s apartment in New Haven.
We got pizza nearby at One 6 Three. They have really unique topping combinations.
And they offer herbs to the neighborhood! How sweet.

They wrote quotes on our leftover boxes:
Back at my sister’s place, I made this raspberry cocktail.

We played a few rounds of games:
And now it’s Oscar’s turn for some cuddling:
My sister made the birthday cake:

Part of my gift to mom was a ceramics projects I made at summer camp — in the shape of a starfish, to fit in with her other seascape decor at home. And then I gave her a Homegoods gift card (one of her favorite stores) to pick out professional decor!
Fun night celebrating a very special lady!
It was such a fun time! Thank you Erica for capturing it with your awesome photography!
Thanks! So glad to celebrate you! XO, Ca
