Photo Essay: Singapore by Night

After spending the afternoon touring Marina Bay Sands, I return to the SkyPark Observation Deck at dusk — this time on my own dime ($20 Singapore dollars) — to watch the city skyline come to life. The light is magical.

This is more of a photo essay so I’ll keep the commentary brief. Enjoy!

This is KU DE TA, an exclusive nightclub on SkyPark. It’s also a sneaky way to access the observation deck without paying the $20 entrance fee (food & drinks will set you back more, but at least you’ll get a meal out of it). Sky on 57 is another top-floor restaurant that will get you 360-degree views of the city.

There’s a lighting exhibit down on the waterfront called Wonder Full — “a convergence of light, music, and sound.” Shows happen nightly at 8p & 9:30p, plus 11p on Fridays & Saturdays. It’s free and visible from all over the harbor.

If you are traveling to Singapore, I’d suggest a twilight visit to the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark is a must. It’s the best view in town!
