A few weeks ago my family picked apples and pumpkins at Lyman Orchards in Middlefield, Connecticut. It’s a wildly popular place so we went rather early in the season to avoid crowds — the leaves weren’t quite as brightly colored as they are now, but it was a lovely afternoon. There are dozens of varieties of apples and pears for sale (pick your own or buy in the on-site store), as well as a giant pumpkin patch. Enjoy the photos!
We’re so silly…
Let’s skip over to the pumpkin patch…
Many of them are still on the vine! We used a car key to ‘saw’ through the fibrous material attached to the stem.
They handed out little samples of kettle corn:
And we bought some still-warm apple cider donuts to take home and enjoy with lunch. What a treat!
My family has had more fall adventures this past month — another post on that coming soon!
